Grimes is the metro's other newest-stock zone (along with Ankeny). Most of the city's footprint is 2000s–present subdivisions with conventional new-build patterns: vinyl siding with stone-veneer accents on the front elevation, asphalt shingles, attached two- or three-car garages.
